The Northern Forest Archipelago Stamp Issue Webpage
The NFA is proud to announce that on July 4, 2003, the Postmaster General Vlad Parkis unveiled the first of many stamp pressings that the NFA Postal Service will be engaging in during his tenure with the NFAPS. These, the first stamp design ever released in the NFA herald in a new age of postal service in the Archipelago. Prior to the issue of these stamps, mail was carried by the citizenry through a system of mutual favors between friends; mail delivery will no longer be dependent on the kindness (which is well renowned) of our people.
NFA Stamps can be bought at any government office, or through our Online Market for 1/20th of one NFASEB ($.50). Stamped mail can be dropped into any Postal Delivery Receptacle (PDR) throughout the NFA. The PDRs can be checked by any citizen, and if they are going to or near the intended destination of the mail, they will take it with them for delivery; in this way, every Citizen in the NFA is a postal carrier. Once the mail has been delivered, the recipient initials the envelope and gives it to the carrier. The carrier can then take the initialled envelope to any government office and exchange it for either:
- 1 new stamp
- NFASEB Bills or coins (if they accumulate at least 2, which is equal to the smallest denomination of NFASEB)
The current stamps are pictured below:
E-Stamps
A new "E-Stamp" program has been instituted by the NFA...users can place the image in their emails, or attach the file. The e-stamps do not have any value, but can add a nice NFA-ish touch to your emails. The first e-stamp in the series is a picture of a tiny (3/4 inch) toad the King spotted while climbing Panther Mountain in the spring.
