The Foreign Relations Webpage of
The Northern Forest Archipelago

The Northern Forest Archipelago (NFA) is a sovereign nation-state and is interested in cultivating and maintaining diplomatic relations with other nations and states (both micro and macro). Please contact our Ministry of Foreign Relations if you wish to establish diplomatic relations with the NFA.

The goals of the Foreign Relations Corps of the Northern Forest Archipelago are to: establish friendly and beneficial relations with other nations and states, pursue the goals set out as the guiding principles of the NFA (see below), increase the NFA's knowledge about other nations and states and micronationalism in general, promote a positive image of the NFA, and carry out any other initiatives put forward by the King and/or parliament.

The guiding principles of the NFA are simple:

  1. Protection of the woods, waters, and wildlife of the Northern Forest
  2. Sustainable use and enjoyment of the woods, waters, and wildlife of the Northern Forest
  3. Spread the word about the value and beauty of the woods, waters, and wildlife of the Northern Forest, so as to promote and insure their protection over time

There are no set criteria for nations or states wishing to establish diplomatic relations with the NFA, each nation or state is evaluated on a case by case basis. The NFA defines diplomatic relations between the NFA and other nations or states or organizations as activities ranging from informal discussions and meetings online to treaties and pacts and agreements to alliances and confederations. The NFA reserves the absolute right to refuse or terminate diplomatic relations with any nation or state at any time. The NFA will no longer be a party to treaties or pacts that simply state intentions of goodwill and non-aggression, as this is the stance of the NFA towards all nations and states at all times; treaties should instead serve as groundbreaking measures with significant implications for the NFA, its partners, and the world.
